Literacy: Damon Crossland

Damon has been married for the past 31 years to Janice Goldfarb Crossland. They have two children, their daughter, McKinzey lives in Austin, Texas and works for a Public Relations Firm and their son, Taylor lives in El Paso, Texas and works at Coronado Country Club as their assistant tennis professional for junior development. Damon’s wife has worked for EPISD as a Special Education Teacher and Behavior Specialist for the past 31 years and retired in Dec. 2011. He enjoys tennis, golf; really any physical activity is interesting to him and he enjoys the participation for sport. Currently he is an Agency Principal for Crossland Insurance Agency, representing Nationwide Insurance since 2005 for Life and Health, Business Insurance and Personal Insurance in the El Paso and New Mexico Region. He also worked at Wells Fargo Insurance Agency or the former Rogers & Belding Insurance Agency from 1986 to 1998 as a Commercial Insurance Producer and also worked at Goldfarb Insurance Agency from 1982 to 1986. From 1998 to 2005, he worked as a sales representative for a wholesale industrial supply house and as a rep for the architectural millwork industry. Damon attended UTEP and earned a degree in Geology with the help of club member, David Lemone, who was one of his professors. He truly loves El Paso and the people he has met and known in our community. Damon has been in the insurance industry for 23 years is a summary and 6 years as a sales representative.
